[HOW TO APPLY FOR A PLACE]

[HOME]

Most of our parents are working parents and the hours and the types of places provided reflect their need. Many working parents are attracted to the nursery because of its strong educational bias, not unusually moving from other childcare providers when they feel their children are ready to be doing a little bit more. Parents with a baby often start directly with us, not only for the thoroughly professional childcare service we provide but they can see that the place will grow with their child's growing educational needs without further need to move them. Other parents, perhaps not working, use the nursery for a good pre-school experience prior to perhaps going to a local authority school. Children attend the nursery for different reasons - they are from a wide geographic area and a wide range of different backgrounds. Usually they do have one thing in common - their parents are looking for more than basic childcare and value the emphasis that the nursery places on a varied and traditional  educational content.

HOURS

The nursery and the nursery school are open from 7.30am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, all weeks of the year except for bank holidays and Christmas closure. You may bring in you child as late as you like and collect as early as you like - so long as it within the hours permitted for the place. A light breakfast is supplied before 8.20am, a lunch at about 12.00am and afternoon tea is at about 4.00pm. These are included in the cost of the places.

PLACES AVAILABLE

Full Time

Full opening hours and all opening days - all meals included. This place is usually used by full time working parents and gives you complete use of the nursery whenever it is open. This is the most popular type of place.

Full Time (term time only)

The same as the full time place but for term dates for 37 weeks of the year. The term dates in general follow the Salford schools term dates and details are on the link below. This place often suits parents who teach or work in education. It is possible to use holiday weeks if you wish, although this will be charged at the standard rate (less retainer, already paid) and subject to availability.

Day Place

Full opening hours on the chosen day for all weeks of the year - lunch included. Several different days may be combined, subject to availability, to make a more complex part time place. Suits part time working parents or parents who maybe don't both work but want to make pure use of the education provided.

Part Time Places

Either part time mornings (lunch included) from 7.30am to 1.00pm or part time afternoons from 1.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday for all weeks of the year. Obviously suits part time working parents or non working parents where they want to make use of the educational experience for their child.

Short Time Places

This place can be either Short Time mornings (lunch included) or Short Time afternoons, it is the same as for part time but just 3 mornings or afternoons, instead of the 5 - the days can be chosen by yourself, subject to availability. Tends to be used by parents not working but looking for a good educational starter for their child before they make their choices about nursery schooling.

Individual Sessions

Any morning session (7.30am to 1.00pm - lunch included) or afternoon session (1.00pm to 6.00pm) can be provided, normally we would encourage at least 2 sessions to help your child become familiar with nursery. Often these sessions are added to other part time places to make a more complex place.
