We
have recently installed CCTV in the nursery to help us manage the playrooms
and activities more effectively. As part of this we have also provided a
secure, free of charge, internet viewing facility for parents (viewing by your
mobile phone will also be available soon). The viewing system is extremely
secure and full details can be accessed via the link to the NurseryCAM website
below (click on security). Only parents are allowed to access viewing via the
internet and they may only view their child's playroom when he or she is
attending. The nursery has to authorise all viewing accounts and no one else
can access the images.
Parents
are restricted to 15 minutes viewing each day and only between the hours of
9.30 -12.00 and 2.00-4.00 so that viewing would not normally occur when
parents are dropping 
off
or collecting their children. Once a child attends the nursery then you may
apply for a viewing account - this is easy to set up and requires no
specialist software or knowledge. A full parents guide may be downloaded from

NurseryCAM gives parents confidence - we have all seen the undercover horrors that have occurred in some nurseries. We have always been confident of our staff (otherwise we wouldn't provide parent viewing) but with the combination of management CCTV and parents webcams a transparency has been introduced where there can be no hiding place for bad practice.
